|SWING - Music Event|
|Location:||Pirate's Cove Pavilion - Manteo, NC|
|Start Time:||7pm to 11:59pm|
Dare County Arts Council will host Swing!, the latest in its series of annual fundraising events on Saturday, October 26 at Pirate’s Cove Pavilion in Manteo from 7pm-12am.
Presented by TowneBank, Swing! will celebrate the golden age of Louis Armstrong, the Boswell Sisters, Louis Prima, the Andrews Sisters and other great performers of the swing era, with décor, music and menus that harken back to the dancehall days of the 1940s Outer Banks.
The evening will feature live entertainment by 504 Supreme and the Truetone Honeys. Making their Outer Banks debut, 504 Supreme takes the art of live swing entertainment back to its roots, and the Truetone Honeys are a harmonizing force to be reckoned with.
In addition to their live performance, 504 Supreme will also be offering a beginner swing dance lesson to guests at the event. Guests are encouraged to embrace the theme and dress in their most dapper vintage attire.
Proceeds from Swing! benefit DCAC’s Power of Art program, which provides art instruction and experiences to groups with special challenges, including children and adults with developmental disabilities and adults with dementia.
Tickets to Swing! are $125 per person and can be purchased here online or at the DCAC Gallery in downtown Manteo or by calling DCAC at (252) 473-5558. Additionally, guests and businesses may reserve sponsored tables of eight beginning at $1,500 and there are multiple sponsorship options available that include tickets.
