Whether you’re a pro or a home cook, come share your creations for a good cause! The Spice & Tea Exchange of Duck is hosting our second annual Holiday Happiness Cookie competition and Bake Sale on Saturday, December 14 from 12:00-4:00 to benefit the Dare County SPCA!
All that’s required to enter is 2 dozen cookies of your own creation, bundled in packages of 3 for sale. Bar cookies, drop cookies, cut-out cookies, refrigerator cookies…any kind will do.
Your cookies will be sold to the public on a cash only basis, with all the proceeds going to this wonderful organization.
Participants may also choose for their cookie to be entered in a friendly competition to be judged by 3 local food enthusiasts. These folks will need to provide 3 extra cookies for the judges. Cookies will be judged on taste, appearance, and creativity. Savvy bakers who use sugars, spices, salts, etc. from The Spice & Tea Exchange will be awarded 5 bonus points!
The first place winner will receive a $50 gift certificate for The Spice and Tea Exchange.
The second place winner will receive a $25 gift certificate,
and the third place winner will receive a $10 gift certificate.

Cookies should be dropped off between 9:30 and 12:00 to The Spice and Tea Exchange of Duck on 12/14. Bakers participating in the competition can complete a contact information form at the time they drop off their cookies. Winners need not be present to win.
