Join us for another Corolla Winter Education event! The Currituck Beach Lighthouse, The Outer Banks Center for Wildlife Education, and the Whalehead in Historic Corolla are hosting a lecture with Dr. Larry Tise, Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of History at East Carolina University. Dr. Tise will share photos and stories from his newly published book, Circa 1903, which explores the "Sand Banks" at the time the Wright Brothers flew here.
Dr. Larry E. Tise, a native Carolinian, is an author and historian living and working in both Philadelphia and North Carolina. His bachelor and divinity degrees are from Duke University and his PhD from the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill. He is past director of the North Carolina Division of Archives and History and Wilbur and Orville Wright Distinguished Professor at East Carolina University.
