FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
>  Where is the beach?
You may access the beach in the area across from our south entrance, approximately
2.5 miles south of our main entrance. There is a county maintained public parking lot
and bath house.  This is also the location of our Trolley Stop, the Beach Valet Service
and Surf Shack all for your convenience.
>  Are dogs allowed on the trolley?
Other than service animals, dogs are not allowed on the trolleys out of respect for
     other riders.
>  Do we have to pay to play golf?
Yes, everyone has to pay to play golf.  However, if you happen to be staying in the home
of a member of the golf course, there are certain discounts available.  Ask your rental
agent, a staff member at the Fitness Center desk or a staff member at the Pro Shop.
>  I am not a guest at The Currituck Club.  Can I still work out in the Fitness Center or use any of
     the courts?
No, but there are public sport facilities located at Pine Island.
>  Can we take a basketball home with us and bring it back in the morning?
No, all equipment is free to use during regular business hours and at the Fitness Center
     facility only.
>  Are any of the pools heated?
No, only the rays of the sun heat the pools, but they still provide much needed relief.
>  Where is the nearest spa?
There are two spas located in Corolla (OBX Massage Therapy and Eden Day Spa).  There
are also two in Duck (Aqua Spa and the Sanderling Spa).
>  Do you have handicapped transportation at the beach access?
Yes, we offer handicapped transportation to the beach at the southern beach access.  Our
Beach Valet staff can provide transportation to the beach, so long as there is an
accompanying person to assist.  There is no fee for this service and it is extended to
     anyone staying in the area.
>  What do the red flags mean?
When the lifeguards have put out the red flags, it means NO SWIMMING.  The beach will
remain open, however, no one is permitted in the water.  It is important that guests are
informed of when the red flags are present.  This will prevent anyone from going all the
way to the beach and get disappointed.  Trolleys will usually have notes to alert riders if
the red flags happen to be flying.
>  Where is the ABC store?
While wine and beer are sold at the grocery stores (some states differ according to
policies), liquor may only be purchased at an ABC store (located just outside our gate at
the southern end of the property).  They are located in the same building as the
     Currituck County Visitor's Center.
>  Are the wild horses located here?
Not in our community, but we recommend you book a tour with one of the horse
tours listed in our Amenity Guide.  They will know right where to find the herds!
>   How do I rent a Club cart?
You may call 252-597-3000 for details or visit www.OBXClubCartRentals.com.  Carts
are for use on the streets within The Club and not on the golf course, paths or greens.
Carts may be taken across Highway 12 at the crosswalk going from Old Stoney Road
across to Yaupon Road.  There you will find ample parking on the left going down
Yaupon Road and in front of the Surf Shack.  Be mindful of the rules with the carts as
abuse may cause an early termination of the rental agreement.
